How to send company text messages?

You can send company text messages by first creating an account with an SMS platform. You can start a free trial (no credit card needed).

Then you'll need to load your contacts into the platform. Companies often do this by importing a spreadsheet, but there are several other methods as well. Some of those options include:

  • Connecting to their CRM via API or via Zapier integrations
  • Giving their prospective subscribers a particular word to text in, which will automatically subscribe them
  • Giving their prospective subscribers a link to an automatically-generated web form, which they can fill out in order to sign up
  • Giving their prospective subscribers an automatically-generated QR code, which they can scan in order to sign up

Lastly, you'll select your recipients, type out your message, and hit "Send." Alternatively, you can schedule your message to send out at a particular date/time, or you can create automated messaging flows by setting up a series of messages to go out over a designated period of time.

What are some different use cases for SMS?

Note also that longer messages use up more messaging credits, so you may want to give yourself extra wiggle room.
