Read the Bible in a Year: Daily Bible Verses (Part 2)

Continuing from a previous blog post, here are Scripture verses from days 16-30 on the reading plan.  You can send out these verses as daily words of encouragement, or you can use them to help encourage your group to read through the Bible in a year.

Day 16: “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” -Proverbs 2:6

Day 17: “For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.” -Matthew 12:50

Day 18: “O Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear to vindicate the orphan and the oppressed” -Psalm 10:17-18

Day 19: “So Joseph’s master took him and put him into the jail … But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him” -Genesis 39:20-21

Day 20: “But the wicked will be cut off from the land and the treacherous will be uprooted from it.” -Proverbs 2:22

Day 21: “The words of the Lord are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.” -Psalm 12:6

Day 22: “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man” -Matthew 15:19-20

Day 23: “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; there is no one who does good.” -Psalm 14:1

Day 24: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” -Proverbs 3:5

Day 25: “But Joseph said to them, ‘… As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good'” -Genesis 50:19-20

Day 26: “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” -Job 1:21

Day 27: “So they [husband and wife] are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.” -Matthew 19:6

Day 28: “For whom the Lord loves He reproves, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.” -Proverbs 3:12

Day 29: “With Him are wisdom and might; to Him belong counsel and understanding.” -Job 12:13

Day 30: “… whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” -Matthew 20:28
